COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
2023 – MEEHubs2024. Development and co-lead organization of an international conference in a novel format (hybrid multi-hub). Lead organization of Oxford hub.
2019 – Science Jam. Organization of – and participation in – an intradepartmental outreach event at the Department of Zoology (now Biology; University of Oxford). I also won a design competition for a special prize mug custom-made for the event.

2021 – Microbial Literacy Project. Co-development of a child-centric microbiology education framework for use in UK education.
2019-2020 Skype A Scientist. Video-calling with classrooms around the world as part of the “Skype A Scientist” initiative.
2019 – Oxford Scientist School. Guest judge for science writing competition for Secondary school pupils.
2018 – ‘EUROmicroMOOC‘. Lecturer for the 1st worldwide online open access microbiology course, accessible to a general audience via Twitter. Related publication.
2018 – UNIQ Summer School. Demonstrator for practical classes on antibiotics, delivered to state school students (Oxford).
2017 – Science Lab Zurich. Organized guided tours through microbiology laboratories at the University of Zurich for local high school students (Switzerland).
2016 – International Physics Olympiad. Organized guided tours through microbiology laboratories at the University of Zurich for international high school students.
2012 – Info Day Biology. Oral presentation outlining Master’s degree in Biology at ETH to local high school students.
